Blockchain-based invoice factoring platform Hiveterminal expands to the DACH region.
This news comes less than two weeks after we announced that Swiss-based Bonart Mati will be taking over as Hiveterminal CEO.
We are happy to announce that Hiveterminal has moved its headquarters to Switzerland’s “Crypto Valley” Zug, the European blockchain hub. There, we will be operating under the legal entity Hiveterminal AG.
To realize our vision of a pan-European platform, we must expand geographically and seize the opportunities available to us. While we have called Slovenia home for a long time, we believe that the product that is heavily built on trust between different stakeholders cannot effectively do so without a local presence in the market it is serving.
The founding of Hiveterminal AG marks the platform’s official entry onto the Swiss market, the first in a series of steps that will lead the company into all DACH regions and the rest of Europe. The aim is to start cultivating relationships with Swiss small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who would like to have fast and continuous access to liquidity without going through the hassle of applying for bank financing. The offered solution has been adopted by more than 4,000 registered business users in the initial market already.
Instead of waiting for 30, 60, or even 90 days for payment on already delivered goods and services, SMEs can upload their invoices and typically receive the money within 24 hours! This is a unique selling proposition that Hiveterminal can offer thanks to its cutting-edge tech capabilities and streamlined processes.
Investors on the other side can buy those invoices at a discount, receive the full invoice amount on the due date, and generate high yields while investing in highly diversified and liquid asset classes, with funds tied up for up to 90 days at most.
The Hiveterminal platform can also be used for closed ecosystems or white-labeled on a Software as a Service (SaaS) basis in its Enterprise edition, which was recently launched. The solution is also available to companies within the DACH market now.
With the Enterprise edition, debtors can fully automate their processes of applying discounts on supplier invoices or dealing with payment terms. By paying earlier, debtors can save time and substantial amounts through discounts and also enable billers to have smooth and fast access to liquidity for their business without having to take on loan debt.
The company’s CEO Bonart Mati has stated that “Invoice factoring as a financing option is not well developed in Switzerland simply because there is a need for an easier and more user-friendly solution within this space. We aim to take advantage of this fact and make invoice factoring respectable in CH and the rest of Europe — also by using blockchain technology.”
The company is moving towards a EUR 1.8 trillion EU invoice
financing market. After being invested in by a Swiss VC investor and now expanding its staff in the region, the company aims to make a footprint in its target markets.
We will update you with an additional behind-the-scenes look from the Hiveterminal AG offices and other operational developments taking place shortly. Stay tuned.
